An American Idol's Top Picks
The eighth season of American Idol, AKA America's largest talent show, starts tonight. So many lives have been altered as a result - and not only the Idols', but the lives of the American - nay, global - public. Where would we be without Clay Aiken and Daughtry - and they didn't even win! - not to mention Ryan Seacrest...the world would be less talentful, indeed.
Winning the show doesn't guarantee success - but last season's winner, David Cook, is doing all right. He recently shared some of his favorite songs, bands and influences with us.
