Konichiwa, anime fans
I’m not going to lie. Before I worked here, I’d never watched an anime show but I knew anime characters – Naruto and Zatch Bell – because I worked in the toy industry. The anime toys were always the coolest, perhaps because of their naughtiness factor – every non-action figure seemed to incorporate flying disks or silly string.
When we got the dubbed versions of Naruto and Zatch Bell on Joost, I was pumped. Finally, I could watch the shows that inspired the toys that gave me such joy when I was way older than the target audience.
Apparently, I wasn’t the only one. Anime fans out there told us they wanted more anime, and we’re answering. We’re building out our library to bring you the biggest legal and uncut library of anime programming.
Our newest anime shows are the original Japanese-language, uncut and subtitled versions of Naruto and Death Note – and Bleach is coming soon. We have both the dubbed AND subtitled versions of Ikki Tousen, Gun Frontier and Saiyuki; subtitled versions of Izumo; and dubbed versions of Astro Boy, Avatar, Blue Dragon, Cosmo Warrior Zero, Mär and Samurai Jack.
For the otaku among us, we’ve got news, interviews and reviews from AnimeNewsNetwork.com and imagine-nation; and a real manga lifestyle experience with TOKYOPOP.
That’s hours and hours of anime entertainment for you all … and there’s more to come. So start watching now before you’re overwhelmed.
