First-round Friday

I heard that while watching the Gonzaga-Davidson game on Joost this afternoon and couldn’t help laughing. It was the first time I’d heard the term, or at least the first time I remembered it, though this is the first time I’ve actually been encouraged to watch March Madness while I’m at work. Anyway, I got a kick out of it – as if the second day of the tournament needed a catchphrase to get people interested.
Anyway, we had some challenges yesterday, which I commented about here. The good news is that everything is working much better today.
Some people are still experiencing some temporary losses of service (a.k.a. error #3). If you do experience this error, you can try the following things to get the game back:
- Nothing. Seriously, the games have been programmed to try to automatically reconnect if they fail. You’re best bet it to let the game try to reconnect itself; if you go to Explore and try to restart the channel, you’ll stop the auto-reconnect process.
- Choose another game, watch that one for a little, and then switch back to the one you were watching before.
- Exit out of Joost and then restart.
People have also asked why they get the blue screen with Joost LIVE Test before the commercials – don’t be alarmed, this is a normal part of the feed during the games. There have also been reports of some audio problems. We’re aware of this and are working to fix it.
That said, THANK YOU to all of you who have come out to participate in the Joost LIVE Test over the past couple of days, AND for those of you who have completed the survey after watching March Madness. We’re working hard to continue to improve Joost, and your feedback really helps. A lot.
